ABOUT ME

After years of working in public schools, I see how overwhelming it can be for families to get clear, timely answers about their child’s learning or behavior. I started my practice to offer thoughtful, individualized evaluations that help families truly understand their child.

I believe in transparency, collaboration, and bridging the gap between school-based supports and outside evaluations. My goal is to advocate for your child while also being honest about what schools are currently doing and what recommendations can realistically look like in the school setting.

If you’re not sure where to start, you’re not alone. I offer a free 15-minute consultation to talk through your concerns and help you decide what next steps make sense for your family.

Services

  • My therapeutic approach is grounded in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)strategies and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) informed strategies, with sessions tailored to each client’s developmental level and individual needs. Therapy may focus on helping clients:

    • Manage anxiety, stress, and emotional regulation

    • Develop coping strategies for big emotions

    • Improve self-esteem and confidence

    • Identify and challenge unhelpful thinking patterns

    • Build problem-solving and interpersonal skills

I take a collaborative, strengths-based approach and value open communication with caregivers, while also honoring the importance of privacy and trust within the therapeutic relationship. My goal is to help clients develop practical tools they can use in everyday life—at home, at school, and with peers.

    Scope of Practice & Referrals
While I support a wide range of emotional and behavioral concerns, certain mental health needs are outside the scope of my practice. I do not provide treatment or diagnostic services for severe or persistent mental health disorders such as schizophrenia or borderline personality disorder. Additionally, I am not able to provide services for children or adolescents who are currently in crisis, including those experiencing active suicidal or homicidal ideation.

In these situations, I believe timely access to specialized or higher-level care is essential. When appropriate, I will assist families with referrals to providers or programs that are better equipped to meet those needs.

If you’re unsure whether therapy is the right fit, I offer a free 15-minute consultation to talk through concerns and help determine next steps.

I currently accept private pay clients with no waitlist, which means families can often move forward without long delays. I also accept select insurance plans, including Medicaid, CareSource, and United Behavioral Health, on a limited basis at this time.

    Private Pay Rates:

Virtual Individual Therapy: 55 minute session - $155

In Person Individual Therapy: 55 minute session - $175

  • A comprehensive evaluation begins with a detailed conversation with caregiver(s) to better understand your child’s history, current concerns, and day-to-day functioning. From there, assessment is thoughtfully selected to look at areas such as thinking and learning skills, academic achievement, attention and executive functioning, as well as social-emotional and behavioral functioning. Throughout the process, the focus remains on how these areas impact your child’s learning, school experience, and everyday life.

Each evaluation is individualized and guided by your specific questions and concerns—no two evaluations look exactly the same.

When appropriate, evaluations may support DSM-5 diagnoses such as Autism, ADHD, learning disabilities in reading, math, or written expression (including dyslexia, dyscalculia, and dysgraphia), as well as anxiety and depression. At the conclusion of the evaluation, you’ll receive an easy-to-understand written report and we’ll review findings and recommendations together during a feedback session, ensuring you leave with clarity and next steps.

  • Yes. In accordance with federal guidelines, Good Faith Estimates are provided for private-pay services upon request.

The No Surprises Act is a federal law which provides you with the right to a "Good Faith Estimate" of the cost of services at our practice. However, Ohio licensing board rules require us to provide you with the actual cost of our charges in a written informed consent form to which you must agree prior to us providing services. That will be available to you prior to you being seen for services and prior to any billing. You will be free to discontinue services at any time or the services may otherwise be terminated in accordance with the informed consent form language.

Although the No Surprises Law says that you may initiate a dispute process if the actual charges are substantially in excess of the Good Faith Estimated charges (i.e. if you are charged $400 more than the estimated cost for a session or for the total estimate provided), that is unlikely to happen and would be a violation of licensing board rules, since you will be agreeing up front to actual charges per session prior to being seen. Dispute information is available upon request, however any changes to our fees will require a change in the informed consent form fees, which you must agree to prior to having them go into effect, otherwise the fees will remain in effect for 12 months.

  • I require advance notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Details regarding cancellation and no-show policies are reviewed during the intake process.

  • Yes. Parent involvement is an important part of the therapy process. The level of involvement varies based on the child’s age and needs, and collaboration is discussed regularly throughout treatment.
